Are there any actors who are REALLY box office poison?

I suppose it depends on how you define the term. If it just means an actor whose return on investment is a lot less than their salary, then there's plenty. But, I mean, are there really any A-list actors who actively turn off a potential audience?

Some names get bandied about, but I'm not sure even the likes of Shia LaBeouf are so much repellent as they are just not used. I mean, it tends to be the case that (using LaBeouf as an example) when an actor gets to the be so annoying they turn audiences away, they just don't cast anymore. Michael Cera, too. So, it seems to me that Hollywood won't allow an actor to become box office poison. They get a few chances, if all those chances don't hit, they don't get the work they used too.

What do you think?

Just took a quick look and could be missing one, but it seem that he has only one big box office hit outside star wars, The Impossible was a giant success in many country (even made first opening weekend records), just not in domestic market.

I thought maybe Big Fish, but that was more expensive that I though.

The Men Who Stare at Goats, look like a nice success for a movie like that, but nothing special.
