Palestine Peace Not Apartheid

It's the title of a book written by former President Jimmy Carter.

He was instrumental in the Peace Treaty signed between Israel and Egypt. Even after leaving office, he continued to visit Israel/Palestine in an attempt to continue the peace process.

This book is very disturbing because it describes the horrible treatment of Palestinians - Muslims and Christians - by Israeli Jews. Several subsequent presidents complained about Israel's land theft and uncooperative behavior towards peace including Reagan.

The conclusion is that Israel doesn't want peace. They only want to steal more Palestinian land while using the peace process as a stalling tactic while they do that.

He also spoke about Christian leaders asking for an urgent meeting with him even though it wasn't scheduled. He declined because of his schedule, but they persisted. He agreed to meet them after his last engagement. At a very late hour, custodians of Christian holy places plus cardinals, archbishops, patriarchs, etc. of the Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian Orthodox, Maronite, Anglican, Lutheran, Baptist, and other faiths complained about increasing abuse and unwarranted constraints from the Israeli government and described specific incidents. Carter met with the Israeli Prime Minister who basically shrugged it off. Carter concludes that he understood for the first time why there was a huge exodus of Christians out of Israel.

Of course, Israel's propaganda machine, aka:Hasbara, attacked Carter by calling him anti-Semite for publishing the truth.

Book was a best-seller. It's very informative and an interesting read.
