IG report proves whole investigation was as corrupt as Comey: Goodwin

You komrades still defend this guy? Signed off on 3 of the 4 FISA reports. The buck stops with him, doesn't it? The IG report is accurate, yes? Meaning Comey is wrong. Everything points back to Hillary and you komrades were WILLFULLY IGNORANT to the truth once again. Don't worry. You're not alone in covering this up. You, Hillary and the main stream media are all guilty of omission, obfuscation and idiocy. Then again, what else is new, yes?🤪🤪🤪

Comey even finally had to admit he was wrong under questioning in a recent interview, torpedoing all of his smug antics over the past three years. Now the FISA court is openly attacking the FBI and demanding a reform proposal to prevent this abuse by Jan. 10. One might argue it's too little too late from a court that was at best incompetent and willing to sit silently about this for far too long, and that the FISA process itself should be toast, but it certainly destroys the credibility of anyone associated with that FISA effort to spy on Trump's campaign.

Comey's reputation is complete trash now. He should hang his head in shame and slither off under a rock somewhere.

I think the rules in place are fine, but Comey and his Crossfire Hurricane crew were corrupt to the core. What new policies can they come up with if the entire team from the head down is corrupt? The FISA court now has to be skeptical to all applications submitted. All the trust the FBI has built over the years is now eroded because of Comey. He lied in the interview. He was directly involved in Crossfire Hurricane and he signed off on 3 of the 4 FISA applications. He should be held accountable.

But I'm skeptical of the FISA court. Not only did it easily roll over for anything submitted but it refrained from speaking out all this time until now, despite the info already public about the lies and abuses before the IG report was published. It seems like they're coming out now because they're trying to get ahead of increasing talk in DC about scrapping the court. And they still didn't hold any FBI officials in criminal contempt like they should have.

I'm a national security guy, but this doesn't work. Not in America. Maybe a solution would be to have an advocate in the process to provide adversarial pressure when the government seeks warrants, instead of just guys like Comey, the judges, and a rubber stamper.

I don't know what the FISA staff knew. I'm assuming they are speaking out now after the IG report came out to distance themselves and point the finger solely on the FBI's mishandling and rightfully so.

The problem that I have is that the corrective steps is to put in another step to check the application before FISA gets it. Thus, another layer of bureaucracy, which can also be another layer of possible corruption. The way I see it, is that Comey, being the one that signed off on the applications and being the head of the FBI should be held accountable. Basically, everything had better be in order before you the application is handed to the courts or else you are guilty of negligence. It is his job and the buck stops with him, didn't it?

Well we certainly agree on the last part. Maybe holding Comey criminally accountable would establish a deterrent against this abuse. But something must be done. The status quo...with no one being punished....is unacceptable.

I think that is the best deterrent. Anyone with a conscience would think twice in doing so. Clinesmith is under judicial investigation so we'll see what that results in, but he's low level. Comey said he was "overconfident" and maybe so, but in the end, his signature is on the application. Thus, he agreed with everything on the application. He should be held accountable as well.

Comey should do himself a favor, shut his mouth and fuck off. However - it is a lot of fun watching him screw himself lol!
