The "MVP" made history last night by becoming the first player ever to have at least 10 turnovers in five games in a single season. Yes, he may be averaging a triple double but his team is not very good and he sometimes contributes to that. James Harden is the MVP in a lot of people's minds.

reply

I like the case for Kawhi Leonard. The only shutdown defender among the candidates. Triple doubles are a red herring.

Donald Trump is the weak man's vision of a strong man.

reply

I agree. Kawhi Leonard definitely is deserving of MVP and I think he'll definitely get one soon. It's amazing how he is a top 5 player in the NBA and still gets overlooked. He is the best all around player in the NBA.

reply

Hard to argue that.

He's a defensive player of the year that oh, by the way, scores truckloads a game.

I'd be OK if Harden got it though.

Spurs are 4-1 in absence of Leonard. Rockets will be 1-4 in absence of Harden.

Durant had an up close reminder why he left OKC.

That's ridiculous. You could say the exact thing about LeBron when he left Cleveland for Miami. It's literally the EXACT same argument.
Difference being is that LeBron literally had no help in Cleveland. An aging Shaq, an inconsistent Mo Williams and Delonte West, the fact they made it to the Finals against the Spurs is a testament to LeBron. I will admit to being one of LeBron's harshest critics when he went to Miami.

But upon further examination he didn't go to a team that humiliated him. He went to a struggling Miami Heat team and helped build them up. KD goes to an already talented team that won a championship without him, went to the championship without him. Golden State bullied and humiliated OKC, he falls in line with the "If you can't beat them, join them." reality and got his first ring. There's a reason why this win feel shallow and not important, because it was expected and there wasn't any reason why they shouldn't have won.

Once again KD is a coward and will never have the respect that he feels he deserves.

That's not true, and that is what makes it even worse. OKC was up 3-1 on GS when they were defending champs and had the best record ever. But KD was one of those guys who couldn't step on their throat in the 4th quarter to put them down for good. If Durant played the way he played in these Finals against GS, they would have pulled off one of the great upsets in playoff history and that would be his legacy. As it is, KD's legacy is a guy who piggybacked a team that was one Draymond Green groin kick away from going Drake.
