People are going to knock this list, but I will tell you that the men on this list are both entertaining and inspiring as entertainers.

David Hasselhoff
William Shatner
Lorne Greene

There are things these three greats have in common. They have all branched out into music. They have all starred in episodic television. They have done episodes of their shows where they lost a love interest. These men make heartbreak and tragedy on television entertaining.

Hasselhoff and Shatner would have been better off if they hadn't "branched out into music".

Hoff's music is good. Looking for Freedom should be a national anthem for some country somewhere
