Seen a movie a few years ago. All I remember is the beginning, where a young guy (probably teenager) and his mom are sitting around at like an AA meeting or something and the mom is talking about how her daughter died (from addiction I think?). Pretty sure the son and daughter were twins...And I think both son and mom were well know actors too...
Could it be 'Behold My Heart'? I haven't seen the movie, some elements are the same except it's not about a daughter's death but about a father that dies.

shareI was thinking it sounds like something Lifetime would have shown. There is a lengthy list (855 titles) of Lifetime movies on IMDb and you can search by the year these films were released. If you can remember when you saw it, you can narrow down the search. Maybe a title will stand out or something will jog your memory:
