Hello,

Does anybody know what was the first film to be released straight-to-video in a major home video format, such as Betamax or VHS? Just curious.

If you ignore the Anime and music video releases, it appears the first 'film' was "Kremmen, The Movie", according to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kremmen:_The_Movie in 1980.
