Don't bother

I was looking forward to Challengers being a fun, sexy romp. While it certainly offers its share of eroticism, the story - and particularly the characters - are tiresome. One indecisive man, one selfish one, and an overbearing woman who manipulates them both. You don’t care about them. They’re like children in adults’ bodies. Also, the time period in which the action takes place constantly shifts back and forth between different dates over 13 years, with no rhyme or reason, leaving the audience confused as to what’s happening when. What was the point of that? And the final several minutes are stretched out in slow motion for what seems like an eternity. Whatever suspense they thought they were building was long before wrung out. My friends & I were all disappointed in this movie – and I was embarrassed because I’m the one who recommended it.
