Did anyone see that great Johnny Carson appearance?

The one where he just sat there looking uncomfortable and embarrassed for Johnny? It was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen. Brilliantly acted. Of course, he was never asked back on the Tonight Show....

Are you sure?

Charles Grodin was known for that. Tonight Show, Merv Griffin. He came on looking bemused and was uncooperative in a funny way.

Maybe Dabney too.

Good actor. I liked him in Boardwalk Empire. RIP

I know the difference between the two of them. Coleman even did his patented scrunching his shoulders while holding his hands between his knees thing, while he was at it. Then he'd look up at the audience and there would be peals of laughter! He didn't look bemused. He looked, "Holy cats, is this Carson guy bombing!" Too funny! It was clear he didn't tell Johnny about the joke before he went on, though. Carson was the bemused and bewildered one.
