We will miss you Red Lobster

Although I never dined there, I recall how popular the restaurants were only a few decades ago. Speaking of seafood, only a few days, ago, I craved some fried scallops, I have not had that in ages, the last time was in the early 90's. I have also consumed lobster bisque, and lobster egg rolls, but never boiled lobster, although I liked boiled crab in my youth.

Has anyone ever ate there, or knew someone who was a former employee?

To answer the question, I've never been there. Never liked seafood, but I haven't gone to any restaurant in years.

We frequented Red Lobster back in the ‘70’s in Ft. Lauderdale. There was always a waiting line. The food was great & large portions.

Back in the ‘60’s we dined at Gary’s Duck Inn (now closed) on the Trail in Orlando. All the lobster you could eat for $6.99! It had the most delicious seafood stuffing.

Chastain’s in Orlando…closed.

Ronnie’s in Orlando…closed.

Lum’s in Ft. Lauderdale…closed

Frisch’s in Orlando…closed

For a second, 'We will miss you...' tricks me to think that a user named Red Lobster had left MC. It turned out it was just a restaurant that went bankrupt. What a relief! Haha.

The last time I went there was many years ago. Seafood isn't my strong suit, so I always chose their recommended dishes. If I remember correctly, the taste wasn't as impressive as what I had eaten there before. Maybe my taste buds changed. Anyway, I haven't gone to Red Lobster since, and never tried their $20 Ultimate Endless Shrimp Returns. Now that they are about to close, I am just glad that I will miss the opportunity to boost my cholesterol levels to the roof.
