Which music formats did you buy in the 1980s?

I wasn't alive then, so I am curious. As far as I know, there was vinyl, cassette, and CDs during that period. I am wondering which one(s) you bought.

I realise I already have a lot of threads on this board, but I feel this is an interesting question.

Have you played Atari today?

All of them. Still do at record shows in Ann Arbor, Mich..

A pretty even mix between vinyl and cassettes for me. The 80's was a great time to grow up, they were my prime kid years. I turned 8 in 1980 and 18 in 1990. You can't beat jr. high and high school in the 80's...except for maybe the 70's!

Records, mostly. Tapes now and then, though recorded more, to listen in the car, from the records. Nothing beats the sound of vinyl. CD's only as there became no other option.
