Yet another Religious people are a bunch of nutters propaganda

I suspected it by the trailer that it was going to be a kind of Misery/Carrie type film where a woman takes the word of God to the extreme with dire consequences but i gave this the benefit of the doubt because i got sucked in by the hype of the 'Best Horror of 2021' which isn't much of an accomplishment if you are being honest.

But the films true themes were confirmed when they added the lesbian element and mocked the poor girl for not condoning it, people will always find homosexuality warped and disgusting no matter how often they try to shove it down peoples throats (no pun intended)

And even though i am not religious myself i can recognise that old school Christian value societies are way more functional and proper than the shit poor people are being served up in modern day England, Sex education and gay/trans relationships being taught to children in school, that is just so wrong on every level.
Christian people are the most kind people you could ever meet so picking on them is just cowardly imo.

It has nothing to do with being progressive and showing the other side of the argument and standing up for a minority, they were never bullied like they will have us believe, they just want to debase our kids and destroy our values and morals, and this is just one facet of a bigger picture.

The film was well made, but blindingly obvious from the start what was going on and where it was heading, no twist, no surprise, except they added a horrifically bad CGI shot in and other wise grounded film
The filmakers should be ashamed for peddling this Bollocks

Nah religion just lead to the many UK scandals where a bunch of kiddie fiddlers were allowed to get away with it.

Do they really?

There is media bias against Christians by the Jewish ran media because they are a threat to them, or should i say were a threat.

In the old days when they were trying to push boundaries and make more distasteful and indecent films with low moral standards it was the church that stepped in pushed back

There are clearly some bad people in Religion who have used it as a cover but i still think the numbers are most likely hyped way up to paint the overall Church in bad light

At the end of the day whether there are pedo's infiltrated within or not the fundamental values are still what counts and films like this are just one of dozens that deliberately lead the viewer to relate Faith with Psycho nutters causing it to lose all credibility

So it's a deliberately sly film

Oh yeah the catholic church never did anything wrong except...

And that's only one instance.

It's interesting to think that a culture that preaches peace and love for all is routinely found guilty of a plethora of crimes. The most heinous being child molestation and rape. If you believe in something as powerful as God and the devil, is it impossible to imagine that the devil set up shop as a religion to fuck over everyone gullible enough to follow him? Think about it.

It's often been said that if the devil were to come to Earth he would disguise himself as Jesus.

That said, organized religions are always found to be hypocritical cults.

Good shout and i agree with some of what you said

But my main point of argument is the idea itself, a bit of a lame reference but that thing in Batman where they need to preserve the image of Harvey Dent in order to keep the message alive is what i am talking about.

I am not religious myself and i agree there are some weird people who flock to churches and go door to door, but in the right hands some of the most intelligent things i have watched or read are by religious people

The values and ideas are undermined by films like this, Seven, Carrie, Misery ect hundreds of them where they deliberately over exaggerate the extreme cases of people taking it all too literally
But they know what they are doing and once you clock it its impossible not to see, same goes for all these cases that come out in the news and documentaries, they target what is probably overall a small percentage of cases and blow it up to tarnish the whole lot
But they never focus on the ones who run soup kitchens or kids who on there off days help the homeless, no they are just all pedo's potential serial killers and that is that apparently

They want you to believe in nothing, so that you are open to anything

So 1 instance used as a generalisation ... Isn't that the issue op is trying to highlight?

reply

"1 instance", lol. How disingenuous of you.
