Well, this series is ruined.
Rumor has it, this is going to be a dumb down series, and nothing like the book or even the film. It's basically getting the World War Z treatment.
shareI get the vitriol at the "World War Z" treatment. But in actuality, World War Z the movie was so far removed from the book as to be a completely different thing altogether.
That no more "ruined" the book than any other post apocalyptic story that didn't share the title. It was simply... different.
If this series gets what you call the "World War Z treatment," then it's best to treat it as it's own story, disregard any comparison to the book or movie it's based on, and judge it on its own merits.
