I mean, it's fairly obvious that there was a co-ordinated effort by Israeli supporters to vote for the Israeli entry across Europe. The song was not widely regarded as being anywhere near the favourite. It is, and was regarded as a suitably average pop song. But suddenly a social media campaign, and I saw the many adverts, encouraging people to spam-vote for Israel popped up.
The vote tally for Israel was massively inflated due to a small bloc of voters, relatively speaking, repeatedly voting for them.

Eurovision has been a very LGBT-fest and sexualised for well over a decade now. Rock/metal entries tend to do very well, in part because there aren't usually that many of them so all the rock/metal fans have only a small number to choose from. Rap usually does awful at Eurovision - I mean straight rap anyway. You can have a bit in your song.
