Is this a Star Wars Ripoff and Does It Break Any Laws?

Is it allowed to use light sabers and other Star Wars like imagery? Will they get in trouble for it with Disney?

reply

I haven't seen this, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Snyder originally submitted the concept as a Star Wars movie, and that when they weren't interested he basically just changed the names and made it as its own thing.

Just wonder if he covered all his bases there or encroached on their territory.

They do have some “light sabers” for sure. And mecha tanks.

And soldiers that couldn’t shoot.

Despite popular belief, energy swords/spears etc, mecha tanks, and pretty much everything seen in Rebel Moon, and in Star Wars, are much older than either of those franchises. So are galactic empires, usurping regents, and rebels. They are basic, easy concepts, and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to prove, legally or morally, that they are rip offs of Star Wars; since they proceed Star Wars.
