Vertigo was better.

The Artist has a good score but NO WAY should it have won oscar for best original score! The most memorable part was literally taken right out of Hitchcock’s Vertigo, practically note for note.

I understand the filmmakers got permission, but still... that’s like saying the movie Amadeus should have won for Best original score, too.
