Was the cafe scene real?

I know that the scene when Briony confronts her sister and Robbie was fake for the book she wrote, but does that mean the cafe scene between Robbie and Celia wasn't real either? If it wasn't, that would be really sad if the last time Celia saw Robbie was when he gets taken away.
