She isn't a blue- blood

But William still married her. I find it funny how the Windsors still pretend to be maintaining the tradition.

reply

Nobody ever said she was. The British consider her family middle-class, but that hasn't stopped her from becoming very popular.

reply

Since they don't care for tradition, they should abandon the monarchy.

reply

That's the silliest reason I've ever heard for abandoning the monarchy!

So many rational reasons, and you come up with that...

reply

It's one reason among several. It's like being a fake Christian.

reply

Nothing fake about her, she's never pretended to be anything but a nouveau riche who married into royalty. And there's nothing fake about her title, she is THE Princess of Wales.

Maybe fans of royalty like the idea of a really common commoner marrying a royal and becoming Princess of Wales, or Queen. I mean look at who's Queen right now, and the one thing that absolutely nobody is objecting to is her family background.

reply

Because people have become shallow. Maintaining all the pomp and circumstance while diluting what royalty means. Why not just abolish the monarchy entirely?

reply

Troll.

reply

She's made of far better stuff than the gutter tramp William's brother married.

reply

There's no such thing as blue blood.

reply

Someone told me once (so you know it's true!) that blood only appears to be red when it is exposed to oxygen (when we're bleeding.)

reply

Neither is Sophie or Camilla, but they grew up wealthy. Peter and Zara's spouses are/ were commoners as well.

reply

We need to keep sacred traditions like hemophilia.
