I JUST FINISHED I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD:THE DIRTY LIFE AND TIMES OF WARREN ZEVON BY CRYSTAL ZEVON.

IT'S WONDERFUL AND UGLY...JUST LIKE WARREN...A COMPLETE PICTURE OF A COMPLEX PERSON WHO ALSO HAPPENED TO BE A MUSICAL GENIUS AND MODERN DAY POET.

CURRENTLY I AM READIND...

IT'S GOOD SO FAR....FRAN IS FUNNY AND SELF DEPRECATING AND SEEMS TO BE GENUINELY HAPPY WITH HER LIFE AND CAREER...IT'S A BREEZY AND FUN READ...NO SEXUAL ABUSE...WHICH DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN WHEN READING THE BIOGRAPHIES OF FEMALE CELEBRITIES.

The Zevon book sounds interesting. I love rock bios.

YOU REALLY SHOULD FIND A COPY OF THE ZEVON BOOK...I LOVED READING THAT ONE...HE MADE A DEAL WITH HIS "WIFE" THAT SHE WOULD WRITE THE BOOK WHEN HE DIED...HE WANTED THE "AUTHENTIC STORY"....GOOD AND BAD...AND THE "WIFE" OBLIGED...IT'S AN AMAZING READ.

Currently I'm reading a fancy hardcover version of The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon. I came across this edition in excellent condition with large print and am very happy with the find.

Sadly, I have no time to read right now. The last time Hownos posted a thread asking this, I said I was either going to read "Determined" by Robert Saplosky or reread Charles Bukowski's books, so I guess that is still my answer.

I just started a cozy mystery series, and I'm not really enjoying it. I've got a few books that I'm waiting for from the Library. Right now I'm in a reading slump.
