Left handed, nah right's better!

Is it laugh worthy too make fun of someone for being part of only an estimated 10% of the population? I'm talking about people who are left handed. See, there's a well known comedy movie classic where a character is left handed and is able to do what he was required to do in the movie. But he thought he was out of practice lol. And he was convinced that he failed at his assigned task. SO he tried again, and again. I'm just wondering if this is an overlooked moment of movie brilliance. As one could assume that this person was made to be left handed in the movie in an attempt to create a cinema brilliance in invoking a right handed is superior to left handed banter.
