Confounding word pronunciation?

Is there a word/s in English or another language you may know that stumps you with it's pronunciation? Or is there a word that had you confused for a while that way? There's one word in English that for some time confounded me as to how to say it. It's a big word of sorts, that you don't hear often; at least I wouldn't think. The word is "Amenities". I said "amneties", then I would say "anemities" lol. I think I may have even said it another way also, but can't seem to recall it now.
