In the history test scene, I think that Van Kelt writes the date on his exam paper, something like 12 or 13 December 1955.
Magoo probably helped Chesty with his academic work, so being a type of bodyguard was what Chesty did for him in return. I agree that it was over the top.
Yes, I think the coach knows that David is Jewish and has no problem with that, unlike many of David's classmates. Coach advises him not to tell people anymore than they need to know.
I wonder might Barnes have followed Martin Riggs path and joined the police force? If Riggs could gain entry to the police department, then why not Barnes? Just a thought!
