Interesting reply; I think people's favorite shows and TV moments are almost always closely related to the context of their life and culture at the time. I know that mine are. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading your post and I agree 100 percent. Yeah. I couldn't make up my mind about this movie. In one scene I'm thinking it's irredeemable trash, and in the next scene I'm laughing. Even some unremarkable lines were saved by the delivery. My favorite was the following dialogue with Reese and the grandkids: Walker: Grandpa, would you like to take us fishin', and tell us life lessons and stories about your childhood? Reese: I got a better idea. How about you boys go dig a hole, and I'll go get another beer. Texas Ranger: Someone didn't love you enough when you were little, did they? Reese: [pause] Good call. It is closer to Twilight than it is to the original movie. However, in my dumbass opinion, the first 2 seasons are entertaining in a schlocky way. There is more humor than the promotional materials suggest, and it is at least amusing at all times. Beyond that, it seemed that someone decided it should be more "dark" and "serious", and it loses all entertainment value. It's a show about werewolves in high school, for fuck's sake. Only a few characters have some borrowed names and traits from the original movie. Stiles and coach Finstock are the least changed from their original incarnations, and as in the original movie, the coach is the best character. You really only need to watch the first 1, maybe 2 episodes to see if it will be something you'll enjoy or not. View all replies >
