After recently purchasing the complete series of Hawaii Five-O, I'm having the opportunity to watch it from the beginning because I was an infant when it started, I'm reminded of how incredibly handsome Jack is, or as my friend would say, "objectively handsome". I did have a crush on him when the series originally aired, but in addition to reliving my fond memories of him playing the character of Steve McGarrett. it's also nice to find out, in the age of the Internet, he was also a decent man in real life.
Then it would be a different story other than "Beauty and the Beast", would it not?
IMHO, I think it had the right balance of romance and reality blended together to make these stories stand the test of time even today. As well, while I think all the actors and actresses did their part in making the series entertaining, I marvel at Ron Perlman's performance of Vincent, as he portrayed him as a flawed, yet, altruistic man. I feel if it wasn't for his incredible acting, the show would've been more of a caricature in nature.
