I tend to think he maybe refused the wrong "offer" at some point and was kinda set aside by the upper echelon. He only gets those Hallmark movies now because ppl still recognize him from Never Back Down. Also get the impression he's difficult to work with.
A bit late, but I just watched this episode, not sean faris used in those sample pix you mentioned lol.
