Pretty much.
It costs the Americans about 1.5% of their GDP to service the US national debt, which is not really a lot. In the UK it is only about 1%. So anytime the media wants a headline it can show a yard long figure showing that we are all going arse over heels, down the hill and into the poor house, but in the general scheme of things it is small change.
So I guess it is just a question of finding some city centre that the BLM has not burned down and pitching in?

We are getting ready for Bonfire Night.
It will be pretty quiet this year since Boris "Mr Miseryguts" Johnson passed his fun prevention legislation but I still have about 30 yards of fencing to burn and half a shed, so that is the bonfire taken care of. And I have saved up a score or so of empty camping gas cylinders by way of bangers. And maybe we could stick a guy representing BoJo on the fire.
So we are doing our bit.
