The dialogue is the worst part for me. I could turn my brain off and watch this shit show if only they didn't sound like they were acting in a school play written by a child.
Nah I don't buy it ether. I was just taking the metaphor too far. But I stand behind the conclusion that him being forced into atheism was just as bad as being forced into religion. The show really demonstrates how it's best that every child/human must decide their own beliefs when reaching the age that they can think for themselves.
Are you excited for the new season or have you had enough?
Haha I was just thinking about how I would explain that... My theory is that he is not a true atheist because he was an orphan made to be an atheist. He was not allowed to explore religion and come to the atheist standpoint by learning to apply skepticism

Yes it is becoming confusing because of the whole supernatural aspect of the Mithraic religion. I am hoping that all the "magic" will be explained by ancient technology. Actually I am hoping it will tie into the Aliens universe (just a little). The head on top of the 12 sided die in Marcus' vision looks a lot like the helmet of the suits of the Engineers (from the Alien universe). Or maybe it will even explain why the engineers helmets look like weird "elephant-like" aliens...
or maybe not and it has no connection to Aliens. But I'm still enjoying it immensely.
Maybe I didn't like "mother" because there was little world building.
So, could have Campion made a mash-up of an American and English accent to sound Kiwi?
I agree, very good series so far.
It's really becoming a mystery how much the creator is still present as a "virus". I am also wondering if the "God" Sol is another virus-like entity that can spread without the aid of technology. I like the idea that gods and religions can be viewed as a disease that atheists have become immune to.

I always wanted Hammond to die at the end. It would have been such a better horror had the creator been killed by his creations. It would especially be hard to see such a sweet grandpa be killed. This way it's kind of unfair that we still see him as the good guy in "The Lost World", lying in his bed (not a jail cell).
