The "I'd do her" etc posts are tiresome. Very big difference between that and someone just saying an actress is beautiful or sexy etc. Not expecting poetry from people but it doesn't have to be crass either.
I'm usually the guy who is happy to say he hates a film that everyone loves because I really do hate it. Or there have been times when the hype around a film has just been so constant that I have been put off seeing it at all.
If you were going to go to all that trouble you may as well go donkey size. Then she can really freak out her lezo friends. Which is another problem, will they ostracize her now?! lol

I know it's just a show but even the actress didn't have any chemistry with him, she couldn't even fake affection convincingly. And the men in the show that Daphne did go for tended to be rather masculine, usually tradesmen if I recall correctly. So there is no way Niles would land her unless she thought she could work it in her favour.
I never got the sense that Daphne was beyond reproach either in terms of her morals.

I liked her until she started getting plastic surgery then she lost that hot wife next door quality.
She probably would have left him. And to hurt her in laws she would have moved with the kids somewhere far away.
That said I thought she was a bitch and Ray's mother made it impossible to watch sometimes.

In real life Daphne may have used him for the love and stability and still saw more manly men for fun.
