Yeap, I remember when you didn't want to be late at the movie theater because the first 10 minutes you had trailers, and you didn't want to miss a single one of them.

I was there and I don't remember hearing anybody complaining about politics in movies back then.
Regarding poorly written movies, there were complains were about usual action B-movies. But those complains were legit: you check Chuck Norris movies, they are awful. But I don't remember people saying, for example, that Back to the Future or Raiders of the Lost Ark or Dead Poets Society were poorly written movies.
I have been wearing a carry bag all my life (I love them). From my experience:

You want something more 'squared', much more space efficient. This one barely has 12 litters.

Nope.
Width is excessive. That has two problems:
1. Less comfy to carry
2. Inconvenient. For example, you keep it under the table (I used to do that in the University), your legs are gonna be stumbling upon it the whole time.
And it only has 9 litters. Actually, it's a small bag. It's only 12" high.

This one doesn't look bad. However, it doesn't say the size in litters. That's an extremely important element. I guess it has less space than it looks.

This one is 26 litters, water-proof, and can be fully accessed with a zipper (which makes it much easier to access). If you're looking for aesthetic, this is not gonna be the prettiest one. But it's the most practical one. You could even use it for hiking. If I was going to buy one, I'd buy this one.

The politics forum is a place where people can comfortably debate out loud about "<i>orange man bad!</i>", "<i>orange man good!!</i>", "<i>you're a communist!!!</i>", "<i>you're a nazi!!!!</i>". Nothing bad about it, but some topics shouldn't be politicized. Social sciences should be a technical topic, not a political one.
That said, if you have some (links to) particularly interesting talks from those people you mentioned, I'd love to hear them.
This is criminology and sociology, which are sciences. This is not politics.

X-Men, Casino Royale 2006 and Boys don't Cry are good movies. Intolerable Cruelty is not bad, if you like romcoms. The Island is interesting, if you like non-standard scifi.
