why? they're in a geostationary orbit and so is pretty much he, meaning their relative speed is very low (only the speed he managed to create jumping off the ship and maybe utilizing his boosters)
the rings are at most 1km thick so clearing them would only take a few minutes
it's the sun. the smaller orbs are lens flare in his visir. I'm not entirely sure you're not trolling with this question.
