HEY great minds think alike, huh? LOL...but you are right....so am I, for that matter!! EGADS with all the big money these gals make you'd think they'd have access to a 'stylist' or whatever they call themselves!!! oh well!! ya mean you don't know? LOL.....did you ever buy the sequels??? you got that right!! he was tremendous in "Seasons'.....kinda the way I imagine the young Henry would have been like!! great job!!!! I don't 'love' his movies but I really, really respect him as a filmmaker......... my faves are Full Metal Jacket.......Barry Lyndon (filming only in natural and candle light!! what a genius!!!)......Eyes Wide Shut, but with reservations.........and Lolita altho I hated the fact that Sellers was in it; his presence ruined the whole thing for me..........the story is dynamic enough without his pretentious 'character' spoiling the 'feel' of the storyline!! as for Space Odyssey? HATED IT but as I said, I respect him for making it..........we miss ya, Stanley!! RIP...!!! I like his films in general, but LOVE LOVE LOVE ............... "RASHOMON". OMG could watch it over and over & never get tired of it......... and I'd KILL to be able to find a poster of the famous shot where he's aiming the arrow and she is behind him.........!!!!!! for me it's "Glengarry Glen Ross' and "Midnight in the garden........" I'm still wondering about the fact that the guy he groped said it lasted for '3 minutes'....what; was he watching a clock or the second hand on his watch?????????!!!!! what a shame. Spacey is one of this generation's most gifted actors.......EVERYTHING he does it top notch....... so exactly HOW could anyone hang themselves in a cell only 8 feet high, with nowhere to hook anything onto? jeeeeeze!! well, he may or not be gay, but to me he's a total jackass......I really dislike his so-called 'movies' they are generally nothing but oversexed/over violent pieces of, well, TRASH. he gets waaaaay too much recognition for the crappy movies he puts out....... give us a break!!!!!!!!!! OMG Cage I totally agree with.........Hanks, not so much; he's not of my faves but at least has that 'likeability' factor that Cage sure as hell does NOT!! LOL OMG I love the violin!! took lessons when I was about 10, after having had piano lessons, which didn't thrill me at all.....but the violin? INCREDIBLE INSTRUMENT......and for me the most beautiful one!!! (next to the human voice, if you wanna call our voice 'an instrument', which in a way it is!!) So I hope you like the violin and that you keep it up!!! it will bring much joy to your life!!! sad to say I stopped, you know how kids can be.....lol........but you? DON'T STOP.....KEEP IT UP!!! BEST WISHES!!! interesting about the "Reese's pieces' candy he ate..........at the time I recall reading that the studio asked M&Ms manufacturer if they could use M&Ms in the movie; the company said NO as they thought ET was a monster movie; had no idea what the storyline was..........sooooo as a result, Reese's Pieces sales went up 20% after the movie came out!! and THAT"S what cha get when you don't do your research, candy company.....!!!! "Rosemary's Baby" "Midnight Cowboy".....what's amazing to me about these two films is that both were done by foreigners!! and YET.....they have an 'American feel' to them!!! for me, these are two of the best ever made!!!!!!!! "Rosemary's Baby" "Midnight Cowboy".....what's amazing to me about these two films is that both were done by foreigners!! and YET.....they have an 'American feel' to them!!! for me, these are two of the best ever made!!!!!!!! I 'kind of' agree with you, with "Red Dust'.....but what about "Bombshell"??????? and "Dinner at Eight"? really showed off her comedy skills in those......... what a thoughtful reply,,,,and you are so right!!! I was bored to death in all 3 Star Wars......why the heck did I see them when I hated the first one so much??? LOL..... anyway, I read reviews, say, in Netflix DVD and wonder ...'jeeze' did they see the same movie I did? then someone praises something I didn't like...........but you are so right......thanks again!!! sorry for the very late reply.......thank you SO much for posting this.......am wondering why this is not on DVD...seems that everything else is!! LOL....but thanks again!!!!!! sorry for the late reply......but anyway. hmmmmm can't say I agree with all your choices but certainly Burt/Brad stand out for me in that 'category'...as for Clooney? little story: never liked the guy....always came across to me as a smartass......THEN I saw him in "The Descendants"......after about 3 minutes I wasn't watching George Clooney, I was watching the character he was portraying.....he WAS that guy.........which is the sign of a good actor!!!! so while I"m still not 'a fan' of the guy, I DO have a new respect for his acting chops!!!!! life's funny sometime!! LOL............again sorry for the late reply.. sorry for the late reply!! yes, he was in that one. you know you're absolutely right! she may have just not had the desire to pursue the hassle of fame, etc. Did you ever hear of Silvana Mangano? my favorite Italian actress.....WOW what a presence on the screen..she was married to a producer and just didn't 'feel like' pursuing stardom........her two biggest hits were "Bitter Rice" and "Anna"...she did a film with Clint Eastwood, of all people, called "The Witches' where she played several characters. anyway, you are right.........just never thought of that in regards to Edy........she's probably lots happier being out of the spotlight anyway, right? WOW......I admire your seeing that in this film; I must be a real nut not to have seen this, so thanks for enlightening me.....but I guess it' just one of those movies that I 'don't get and don't like"........but thanks for your insights...to each their own, right?
