That was uncalled for really; I was telling him I perfectly understand the "Generation" version concept, thank you...
I hope that's something I missed, simply because the trailers make him look like a totally different Transformer; I'll have to watch the whole movie to feel better about this, I'm sure...anyway, it was just a feeling I was getting. I really do want to see the dumb plot direction go away; that was killing the whole experience for me...
And there you have the reason I asked...I can relate to changing the tone of the storyline, Bay had the whole premise heading into the trash can with the dumb and choppy plots; I think everyone can agree with that!
And I understand this is supposed to be a prequel, so that doesn't bother me at all...what does bother me however, is the fresh and new 'out of the box' look now; for two reasons: First, the summaries I've seena suggest that Bumblebee is hiding at first, because he's 'battlescarred', like from recent battles; but looks like he just came out of a paintshop...
Secondly, the 'look' gave me the nasty impression that they chose to make him a 'toy looking for a movie', instead of the movie looking to sell toys angle...It's just the feeling I get when looking at the trailers. I do hope the new direction takes off well, as I was disgusted with the last three...
Finally, I'm kinda lost with the 'Gen1' reference (no, you don't have to explain it to me)...
