My feeling was that Michael thought his work was done and handing off the knife was a passing of the baton. My work is done, now you can go to town. It was a long wait for 2018 but I'm so glad the franchise doesn't end with the Busta Rhymes abomination. I just finished a marathon and I watched the opening scene of Resurrection then skipped to movie 9. It's the way to go. I just did a 2 day marathon of all 9 films and I stopped watching Resurrection after the opening scene. It feels good to skip Busta Rhymes and go directly to the much superior 2018 film. I've got this movie at #7 overall in my top 15 best vampire movies ever made. My top 10 er 20 best vampire films: 1-Dracula (1931) 2-Only Lovers Left Alive 3-Nosferatu The Vampyre 4-Dracula's Daughter 5-What We Do In The Shadows 6-Shadow of the Vampire 7-He Never Died 8-A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night 9-The Lost Boys 10-Dracula (Spanish 1931) 11-Nosferatu 12-The Fearless Vampire Killers 13-Near Dark 14-The Monster Squad 15-Byzantium 16-Dark Shadows 17-Bram Stoker's Dracula 18-The Hunger 19-Underworld 20-Horror Of Dracula Just for fun: -Once Bitten -My Best Friend Is A Vampire I would have liked a next day conversation between Caleb and Mae with Mae asking herself how she can fit in after killing so many people. How do you go from treating humans as food to treating them as equals.
