I've always hated the characters and am waiting for their permanent downfall. The show has been drifting towards shock theater for 2 years now. Must be no other show is doing intense gay sex scenes so now every week we see the one son be more demonstrative. I hate the military brat but is it fair to say that her character is a stretch? Plenty of dumb people who let themselves get caught up in bad situations and she is a drug addict to boot. I want to see the show end with the boys either dead or in prison and the last scene is Smurf being taken away from sentencing and in route to prison for a 20-25 year sentence which she will realize is a life sentence given her age. A good chance of Hilarious being the Democratic nominee in 2020. Not because of wide spread public support but she still has the party in a strangle hold. I suspect since the Clinton Foundation could not be audited here in the US that there is still cash out there for Hilarious to pull crap behind the scenes. Expect lots of forced smiles by democrats when talking about Clinton in 2020. I'd love to know what is going on in that mind in terms of when she thinks the time is right to make the announcement. 2018 will be gone by before you know it. As a US citizen I am against it. I doubt it would foster world peace as people across the globe will still find ways intentional or unintentional to thwart that goal. The US has tried the concept to some degree with foreign aid and there have been far more failures than successes. In a lot of instances it just was not possible to buy off people for a greater good with foreign aid. Back to the notion of a (one) world democratic government it would have the effect in my mind of lowering the standard of living in the US where I live. I did not know people were being forced to listen to music they do not like. By the way I do like classical music but am far from an expert on it. Yes, everybody's situation is different. Until we know all the details it is impossible to know if the man in question is not trying to pull his weight or not. I wonder if many of the media personalities wake up everyday with that thought on their minds. Maybe when Hillary gets elected dictator, er POTUS, she can fix their tails for them. An immense desire to control people coupled with resentment that somehow society did that person wrong. I agree. When I was in my early 40's I looked mid-late 20's and it was not much after that that my looks started to catch up with my chronological age. It takes a special woman not to care about her man looking significantly older than her and those women are very rare. Do you (the OP) have money or does she think that you have money? Not saying she can't be interested in you for you personally but people have a way of kidding themselves and now is an excellent time to do an honest accounting of yourself. I'm married but if I were the OP I would be looking more in his age range give or take 5 years. I see very attractive women out there and more than a couple have hit on me so I have to let them know I am not on the market. There must be a dearth of good men to start with. I remember while in my mid-20's a few underage girls chasing me and while I never took advantage I figured they were looking for a guy who was more mature than most late teens guys tend to be. Absolutely it depends on the situation. We try to project one quality onto all people and that just does not work. There are going to be people who will have 10's of thousands of dollars saved by age 20 and there will be those that have nothing saved. Often, the difference is opportunity versus effort. The show or the actress? The original show was good for the first three to four years then the quality slipped pronouncedly. Actors are no different than regular people and a certain percentage will demonstrate behavior unacceptable to society. I suspect that Bill Cosby and Roseanne will be far from the only ones that will implode rendering their media products extinct. One more step towards the extinction of television as we know it today. Had this level of scrutiny existed decades ago the current formatting of star driven programming might have totally disappeared before current times. Depends on the circumstances. Prior to post WWII prosperity in the US it was very common for two or more generations to live under one roof. I would suspect as the economy softens for the average person we will see more people under one roof with fewer cars per household. That is unless we want to rewrite the book on monetary policy and uncouple money from wages. I agree with subdividing the characters. I might put Dracula down as more evil than monster. The Frankenstein Monster is unique as we don't know where his spirit eminates from. Most of the characters listed were not around during my youth aside from Dracula and Frankenstein. Norman Bates was but the movie seldom got run I suspect as it was considered violent to a number and dated to other people. Frankenstein's Monster was there when I was a kid and most impressionable. Also, Shelley's book was read while in school so I had that material to help interpret what I was seeing on the screen. The newer characters were just images played by actors to draw reactions to the extreme situations they were in. Today Karloff's monster is just a man stumbling around under wardrobe and makeup but while being a kid and perhaps a little beyond the monster truly had life. The Spectre format fit the Cold War 1960's and world tensions may make audiences relate once again to a major foe against Western Europe and North America if we see an Asian - Eastern European - Middle Eastern alliance that exists in competition with the West. To summarize what others have said the men at the secret base in Thailand were only taking orders from Murdoch and no doubt Murdoch controlled the flow of money there including the merc's getting paid. Trautman had no leverage whatsoever in the matter. Yep, the quality started to slip half way through season 2 when Desilu was sold to Paramount. Star Trek did not fit the mold of Gunsmoke or Bonanza where it was reasonable to fill a 30 episode season with decent if not good episodes. Star Trek really should have only had an 18-20 episode season to insure quality. "The Alternative Factor" could have been kicked down the road to the point where it could have been made into a coherent episode. I remember the episode and might check it out on youtube in the near future. Trying to remember the actress playing the swinging wife on AITF? Kind of amazing what different kinds of people that can exist even in a small town of 3,000 people. I remember swinging being talked about back during the 1970's when it seemed to be catching on going by public perceptions. You would think that swinging in a small town would be detrimental to functioning there but most likely people were screened extensively to keep such a secret. Obviously, today things are far more lax in terms of sexual practices. It sounds great until you think about it actually happening then you think to yourself "Am I nuts?" I would probably be in over my head if I had a wife that was into swinging. Unless the property has been in the family forever it might be time to change to a more secluded neighborhood. The kind with no schools, playgrounds, corner stores, etc. nearby. Even if the law is on your side once people get a taste of pushing you around they will want to keep on doing so if they know it bothers you.
