The cut out a a few good things to add rubbish. None of the songs had the same impact. None of the characters show any emotion that they did in 1994. I think die hard lovers of the film and people who see idk 10 movies a year will think this is great. I see 200+ movies a year and wasnt impressed.
5m to go but it's soon to be release on dvd. Even if it fails to get over the line a rerelease is a given so it has made it now for sure.

It is the exact same movie as the original just with modern CGI. Literally nothing else is new here it is shot by shot the exact same movie. No reason to even see this other then the visuals.
Brightburn was ok for the budget of 7m but essentially just a pissed off teen killing people he doesnt like.
This is "Wrinkle In Time" all over again. Maybe it was panned cause it's a crappy film. Plus people will start to pick and choose which superhero movies they go to see. In among the good ones there has been some pretty crap ones no one will remember like "Brightburn" or the already forgotten "Hellboy".
Really? it is 6.4/10 not exactly great the new one will beat that easy

My mum seen this movie and she has no interest in anything Godzilla. 2 different markets now "Ma" is another story. Might of been a bad week to release this horror movie think it will be overlooked.
Honesty was more hype here in Australia at least for Rocketman. I think I seen 3 times as much said about it here. I actually think it may even outsell Godzillia here.
Also this weekend is pretty heavy with new releases and holdovers like Aladdin. I'm not sure what the weekend in 2014 was like but I'm guessing it wasnt as bad.
A yawnfest not saying this new one is amazing either but at least it has more then 2 minutes of action. I go to see these movies for over the top CGI and stupidness of monsters fighting not some boring storyline and dull humans characters. The human characters are still just as dull but at least they are not as much the focus of the film.
All Godzillia movies are pretty crap tbh. I expected a crappy movie with monster fighting tho when I paid to see it. It had many problems but meh fighting titans is still kinda cool. 7/10
Who listens to critics? very few critics will ever give a monster movie a good review. Some boring crap Birdman or Moonlight they will. What you rather watch? people go to see these crappy monster movies knowing they will be crappy monster movies. Same as The Meg or Transformers or even POTC movies.
Godzillia vs King Kong has a released date already for next year I believe it was when I looked it up. It makes more sense for the 2 "good titans" to team up to fight the other "bad Titans". Maybe they will face off with each other early in the next film and then become friends for the final battle or something? makes no sense to have them fight each other really.
The first film was crap so ofc this will open lower. When you release crap movies it kills momentum. This whole Monsterverse thing I actually think might be cool if they get it going. "King Kong Skull Island" was much better and this film was better then the first. Meant to be a King Kong vs Godzillia next year but to me it makes more sense for these 2 "good guys" to team up against the other evil titans.
Because the first movie was crap and everyone wasted their money. People wont waste money a 2nd time.
