Maybe not. But i don't ask for a perfect transposition from the book. It lacks something. Sorry. You wrote a question, i wrote an answer with 'Spoiler' at the beguining. You are not obliged to read it But don't worry, the end of the serie is different from the book... SPOILER (From the book) It's a spirit with a physical body. He hunted the natives until some powerfull shaman learned how to control it and to exile it in the arctic wasteland, far from the villages. Dealing with it is a traditional role. When the actual shaman was killed, Tunnbaq was free, pissed of and very unhappy (he needed a shaman to take care of him). I'm somewhat disapointed with the end of the serie, because Tunnbaq can't be killed. He will eventually come back In the book, the captain stayed with lady silence to take care of him, and becoming the new shaman. It made sense. I don't blame her. She made exactly the same choice than Rick used to do. But in the long game, Rick is right. It's about time to stop surviving and to live together. And a good way to do this is... to show that you are NOT the new Negan/Govnor/local tyrant... To win (most) peoples hart and trust. Thanks to that, Negan's lair is now cooperating and not plotting against Alexandria and Hilltop. And most survivors of every community respects his decision. And it bears fruits (in the comics). But without any antagonist, there are hardly a good story, soooo... Insteas of having some people in the Factory dissatisfied with the disapeareance of Negan (like in the comic), there will be ex allies who don't like Ricks decisions... It slow down after the fight against Raz al Ghul, then it goes to the Abyss with 'you can't lie to me, but don't judge me if i lie to you' Felicity... It was painull to see a badass bordeline serial killer vigilantee becoming an 'henpecked husband' She thinks than things are not over until Negan get executed. Rick think than things won't be over until criminals are dealt as human being. Emprisoning Negin is a symbol of a new era, where people are treated as people. Rick want to use him as a politicl symbol of passing from surviving to living together. Maggie isn"t convinced... but she wants to play the game... like Rick used to do back in the days in Alexandria... (Spoiler) At the end of the serie, he stays in the natives village that welcomed him, but without lady Silence who was banned for loosing Tunnbaq Well, if a batshit crazy serial killer like Morgan can be somewhat redeemed, Negan probably can. We saw only small bits of his life in the ZA, but Moran have killed dozens, maybe hundreds of people... before meeting the 'Zen master'... View all replies >
