I also remember this episode fondly (although a bit hazily)! Future star Matthew Perry and uber-gorgeous "Lubbock babe" Brooke Theiss worked very well together! Also, the late Philip Linton was memorable as the "bad boy" Theiss' character was drawn to! Those girls WERE insanely gorgeous! I especially liked the short, somewhat pudgy, hilariously manic Joann Willette-who doesn't sound like much from my description of her, but who truly captured my heart (she was very beautiful!) both THEN and NOW! Apparently, Glenn Quinn was well-loved by the cast and behind-the-scenes personnel of "Roseanne"! That being said, the final season of the "original Roseanne" was an unfathomably brutal creative assault on all who were unfortunate enough to be the victims in its path! In the original last season, I see the brilliant Laurie Metcalf overacting mercilessly, and the late Mr. Quinn being reduced to bringing to life the most creatively thankless tasks! I honestly felt sorry for every talented actor involved in this final season debacle! The late Mr. Quinn certainly wasn't Dean or Brando, but...my God, he was certainly talented enough to deserve more than this "entertainment" travesty as a part of his end-of-life creative epitaph! That is indeed the way I remember it as well, only the '90-'91 season was supposed to be "MSW"s last, until Ms. Lansbury changed her mind! By the fall of '91, not only were the bookend episodes gone (a shame, I liked Keith Michell, and Hallie Todd was ferociously cute), but Angela Lansbury was also given an executive producer title! In a very short time, she went from "exhausted" to " efficient multitasker"! View all replies >
