I have a compromised immune system because of medications I have to take for my transplant kidney. Its a bit worrying but here in Wisconsin it hasn't hit us very hard yet. Hopefully they contain it well. I actually like Adam Sandler a lot more when he takes a part in someone else's movie that has him playing it fairly straight over the wacky roles. Punch Drunk Love for example. No, I think a sketch about a character whose gender identity confuses people would be highly offensive. Also, there' a push for everyone to start going around stating their genders when they introduce themselves, so in the near future the sketch might just not work at all! You know what. You may be on to something. Thriller is not a very accurate description of this movie. You've convinced me. Right. My point was that it wasn't really supposed to be. Wait. What? The woke crowd wasn't making noise about Doctor Who not being a white dude when the character was being recast? "Tantrum" also made me chuckle. Like they don't lose their shit if a non white character is cast with a white actor when a foreign work is made into a movie in the US. Doesn't happen very often these days, but when it does... (See Scarlett Johansson in Ghost in a Shell) They don't do this every time some iconic Western white character (especially if its a male character) is recast? Definitely. And characters who are convincing even though they are often eccentric or outrageous. There's more to his movies than a typical action film. http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/cheech.gif ??? I think he's close. He's probably been the top action movie guy for a number of years now. I do agree with the others that the one thing he's lacking from his resume is an iconic character, like Rocky or the Terminator. I think a lot people would have a hard time remembering the name of one his characters. He would have been a cool choice. And one the woke crowd couldn't have too much of a problem with. His movies are maybe a little more action oriented than a lot of Tarantino's stuff. Great characters, dialogue and story though. I don't think he's quite as good as Tarantino, but he doesn't get nearly the recognition of someone like Tarantino. yeah. They're not towering works of art or anything, but making an entertaining popcorn movie still is something. Creed helped him get the eye back, man. The eye of the tiger. That was more important than any fighting techniques Apollo taught him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btPJPFnesV4 "They" did not write a very good description if they called Blow Up a thriller. Great performance. I was impressed by Michael Douglas as Liberace. Very different from the sort of guys he usually plays. My Dad really didn't like the song Cop Killer by Body Count. That's the only time I remember one of my parents getting really bothered by what we were listening to. Someone told me once "just because you know something is true, you don't have to say it". Pretty good advice for getting by in life. I still struggle to follow it, though. Carriers was really good and kind of overlooked. Good pick! Contagion (2011) might be the most realistic movie ever made about what a real world epidemic might be like and how it'd be handled. Not action packed like Outbreak or anything, but entertaining in its way. I'll have to look for that one.
