Totally agree with you.. especially at the end, where the mob just "lets him off."
They should have beaten his head until mush. Or someone should have brought and axe and chopped his hands and head off, and then burn all his body parts into ashes.

Yup. Chop up his head, burn all his body parts and head into ashes... I doubt then that his ashes would re-combine back into a human body.
They need to chop up his body in pieces and burn it into ashes. End of story.. let's see his ashes recombine and form a human body again... I think not.

Exactly... you'd think these island folks would prepare some defense in case a monster could somehow get onto their island.. yet they just party around like no problem in the world for them and they are protected simply by being on this island.. geez..
Yup. I had the same thoughts about this movie as you. Aliens that can't see.. really? How'd they get here? And most of society is dead, how is there still power/electricity?
Agreed... Also, the ending.. was waiting for a summary (say from the news people) of what happened after the boy explained the wrong-doings... ending was cut short with no explanation about the two killers and their bosses, etc...
Ya, originally, I thought it was some time extrapolation film...
