Well, it takes places in the Mad Max multiverse, many other movies have branched and now have sequels and spin-offs, some that are very different or don't have any of the original characters, I wouldn't be surprised if other "Max-verse "movies and tv shows will appear or they will do crossovers with other post-apocalyptic franchises like Fallout for example.

Yes, I think they should move the story to America, the whole British thing seems kinda weird and out of place. A more diverse cast and exploring issues about gender, race, sexuality, etc. should also improve the adaptation.
