It thought it was Ingo, the lover of the celebrity that she talked to (and revealed a lot to) while she was waiting to interrupt the celebrity's meeting. SPOILER It never occurred to me that the spirits might be only be in her mind until I saw an interview with the director. Duh! I didn't see the movie, so they may pronounce it for you. But it's a common Norwegian name and pronounced HO-leh. Fascinating I found everyone else very made-for-TV cartoonish and hammy. I've been reading a lot of Christie lately, and that's part of the problem with her mysteries. Her characters are not as well developed as her plots. So I wasn't surprised that out of 12 suspects many of them would not be well rounded. Thanks. For me, up until now Claire has no backstory except that she's been sleeping with Jared; his story is that he does not have a great bedside manner with patients; and Neil keeps relegating Shaun to the side. I'm sure that'll change over the next episodes. I might just skip to the current episode and continue from there. I just rewatched it today and thought she gave a powerhouse performance. No wonder she was nominated for an Oscar. Thanks. I wasn't sure about the timeline: when Daisy died and when the Orient Express murder took place. I saw it with my husband who hadn't read the book or seen previous adaptations. After it was over I asked him if it was at all difficult to follow. Nope. He never guessed the ending (well who could), but he had no trouble following it. Actually I thought he fit the part here: slimy, weak, uses women for money, and has no moral center. The part he didn't fit into was the lawyer in Leave Her to Heaven where he chewed up the scenery in the courtroom. View all replies >
