Or it could be she escaped the burning house and was bitten by another vampire who wasn't in the house. @Gary...yes indeed I just re-watched Salem's Lot and you do hear, as the house is burning, a woman's scream. I had presumed that was Susan tied up to a chair - as Mark the escapologist - had been. I was thinking she died a human, burnt to death. That was what the viewer is meant to think. And you're right, Barlow was already eliminated at sundown, before he could get to Susan, so there was no vampire around to bite Susan. We also hear Ben say sorry Susan (not directly to her, but to his conscience), as if he knew she must be tied up somewhere still a non vampire, but he had to burn the house down... It's one of many things that are 'goofs' as someone else mentioned. Hmm, I am not sure what the plan was. So the work hands didn't lock the place up, which meant the 1st kid vampire could escape. But I thought that was Straker's plan all along, to let loose the vampire plague into the town...????? But the intended locking up of the basement, meant that Straker had intended containing Barlow and the kid. Or did he???? Confusing indeed. So Mark was responsible for her being a vampire! But then again, she shouldn't have been at the Barlow place in the first place! Thanks! As regards, Larry I thought he was bitten! Yes, RIP. Thanks for the reply. 1) You're the second person to say that they moved out when Straker saw them in the van. 2) No, you're thinking of the old teacher who had the heart attack. 3) Still a mystery to me. Unless she was going there to see if she could see Ben. 4) Yeah a goof, most probably... 5) Think you are right. You're the second person to say this. THANKS. I loved how they kept all those things in. Like when Ben falls over in the house. I am convinced it was a mistake that was kept in. Funny but I noticed the shoes too. I thought the low shoes looked good. High heels are stupid anyway. And very restrictive walking and RUNNING.
