LLLLLOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!! Walking Dead is terrible compared to GOT. GOT is easily a top 10 all-time show and TWD isn't even top 100. Pyromancer. He was originally supposed to play Pycelle but had to drop out for some reason. They liked him so much that they asked him back to play the Pyromancer. I would bet anything that this will be the opening scene. Also, the forging of Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail from Ice. I'm pretty sure that was a cold open too. Your list is just a fraction of the issues. That's what makes it really bad. Plot holes and inconsistencies galore. If season 3 was a stand alone work a few of them would be resolved, but it isn't. It completely contradicts established plot points from the earlier Twin Peaks and reopens story lines that were given closure as if that closure never happened. The one that bothers me the most is the ending Laura gets in FWWM is completely negated, and it's almost like they completely forgot about that when writing this season. I hope some of the blind Lynch fanboys try to come up with a logical response to a single point you have made other than the typical "It's Lynch". This season was nothing more than mediocre. Bad writing is the answer to all points. This was some of the worst writing I have ever seen coming from such an established writer/director. Lynch has made some great stuff in the past, but S3 of Twin Peaks was awful. There were glimpses of greatness, but they were awash in a sea of garbage. The original 2 seasons and FWWM were in another league than this pretentious nonsense. The S2 episode "Lonely Souls" is in my opinion the best TV episode of all time, and it's hard to believe this trash was made by the same person. This new season is clearly not where the show was heading 25 years ago. David Lynch obviously had all these new ideas during that time and tried to fit them into a narrative that was already in place. In my opinion it was a massive failure and wrecked what could have been a great continuation of the story. There were all kinds of things I noticed while watching that didn't line up with S1, S2, and FWWM. Lynch went way overboard with the supernatural and surreal aspects and left too many loose ends that needed tying up. Lynch lost his touch or his mind one during those 25 years. There were times when the greatness Lynch has possessed in the past did shine through, but they were few and far between the utter nonsensical majority of these 18 episodes. That's probably why there was all the fuss with him walking out and then coming back demanding full creative control during production. I'm sure everyone at Showtime saw how bad this was going to turn out with no one to keep Lynch's craziness in check. This season was just trying to be weird and different for the sake of being weird and different. He took numerous shots at fans of the original run of the show. He basically just pissed on the fans, while most of them asked for more. I've watched it three times, and it seems to get worse with every viewing. I will say that watching week to week is massive detriment for this season though. It needs to be binge watched. Now here come the Lynch fanboys with the typical you don't get Lynch and whatever else their standard argument has evolved to in 2017. Lynch has made some great stuff in his career, but season 3 of Twin Peaks wasn't one of them. And before you bash me as a Lynch hater, "Lonely Souls" from S2 is the best TV episode of all time in my opinion. I can assure that feeling of social anxiety is not unique to black people. Almost anyone will feel that way in a setting where they are the only representative from their own race. You do know that your IP can be routed through a dirt cheap VPN or even changed right? This is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Anti-white? Nonsense. People, nowadays, are just to thin-skinned. Can it make a white person uncomfortable while watching it? Yes, but it's in no way racist or anti-white. I'm a 30 year old white male, and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It wasn't all that scary, but it was creepy and the satire element was perfect. I really liked how it feigned predictability throughout, only to throw a great twist ending at you, but I don't see much replay value in it. 7/10 View all replies >
