It's better to see a weakened Republican party which has enabled Trump and his fascist agenda. That can only happen if more Independents, Libertarians, Greens, and Democrats take seats away from the GOP. I'm not a Democrat but I agree that trying to impeach Trump is a waste of time. If you pay attention to current events it's already revealing to us that Trump is making huge mistakes that are damaging enough to weaken the Republican party I haven't seen any legitimate countermeasure to ensure that a majority of Americans have access to wealthy opportunities other than the current system. Taxing the rich only moves money into the Federal piggy bank, not Americans' pockets. I don't get the appeal of Ben Shapiro, but it's nice to see him confirm all of the suspicions I had about him and his indignant ass. LOL I generalized your statement because it was a generalized statement in itself. The books have no say in this discussion because it's about the TV series and how D&D adapted it, poorly. I like Ike. Glad he's getting more work and a higher profile. I still remember his mockery/impersonation of Dane Cook LOL In Layer Cake there's a flashback scene where a gangster reminisces about an earlier time (early 70s) when they were committing crimes and living in debauchery they used the much older characters playing their younger selves. It's kinda hilarious because all they did was give the actors cheap looking wigs but their aged and wrinkled faces didn't create the effect that they were "younger" in the scene. There's another movie called "Sunshine" with Ralph Fiennes who plays several generations of Jewish-Hungarian men from the same family from the late 19th Century to the Communist era in Hungary. In some scenes they insert Ralph as the younger version of each generation, but then as the story moved forward they'd age Ralph with makeup. It sounds like she's leveraged to the hilt and can't take a loan out against her $1.2 million house?
This entire show was dealing with a running theme of POWER, that's why it was called "Game of thrones", because to attain power is a game to those who seek it and killed for it and ended up getting killed; then those who never really wanted it but it came to them through unexpected circumstances and choice due to their character like Jon or Bran.
That's a rather scant and empty excuse for all of the characters and backstories featured throughout the series being relegated to 5th wheel plot devices. EVERY story ever told is about conflict over power, love, and self-preservation. You can take any story ever told and it will involve 90% of the same plot elements seen in GoT. Season 8 was rushed to bring resolution so D&D could go work on Star Wars and HBO could start developing the prequels to milk more money off the GRRM fantasy world. There's no other way to explain the half-ass battle of Winterfell that conveniently brought a 100% end to "Winter Coming". Bran's 3rd Eye omnipotence is the ultimate jumping the shark imho because it devalues the whole concept of story development and why we as the audience felt the tension of the Night King's encroachment. My whole problem with the TV series is that it didn't really lay out the political structure of Westeros with the how's and why's of the 7 Kingdoms. If you watch other TV series about King Edward or the Mary Queen of Scots, for example, you get a good history lesson on how monarchs ruled and how they controlled their people. I only have GRRM's first book and only made it half way through many years ago, but I remember he does include the details about the power structure and history of each kingdom. The TV series just lays it out that these people are highborns (aristocrats) with wealth and respective populations who swear fealty. What was always missing was the glue that binds these different peoples. Sansa's demand and the council's acquiescence to it made no fucking sense. Based on his comment he must have LURVED the GoT final season as a whole! LOL CGI today is like 50% crap compared to a well-crafted older movie using less digitally enhanced. It's all about budget and commitment to quality. I think to call out an old movie as not aging well just because of CGI is a rather shallow comment. LotR movies have certain flaws and plot aspects I'd like to see redone myself but they don't hinder the overall success and impact those movies have had on successive movies that have followed. The two goofballs in the Sonic Ads are actors too, should we cast them in the same roles? You're assuming that if JGL took that role that he would have been as popular as Pratt, but I don't see it. I like JGL more than Pratt and find him more capable of roles with wider range. Pratt plays the American boy next door archetype while JGL can play the low-key type to brooding desperate type. Roseanne Barr's Jewish too (I always thought she was part Native American) and looks part Asian. I bet she's a Russian Jew as well. Leonard Nimoy's ancestors were Russian/Ukranian Jews too and he could have easily played an Asian character. Thanks for even more laughs! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! "winning"...lulz Both were selfish, but the TV series writers didn't do either one much justice so they both come across as 2 dimensional. Cersei's obsession with that old prophecy seemed to be the only driving force and the writers didn't give her much else. Thanks for the laughs I haven't kept up with the theories but for me it seems there's an opening for Arya and Gendry to inherit the throne after Jon and Dany kill each other in a lover's spat. I'm thinking Bran may turn out to be a new Night King as he foresaw his own future thus his nonchalant reaction to the Night King approaching him. He knew Arya would kill him. The Academy Awards is a popularity contest where movie producers and studios bribe favor with Academy members by promoting their films to them and doing special favors that benefit a good portion of academy members. It's one huge ego stroking endeavor. I'm surprised a majority of America still watches this crap when you here how so many Americans dislike Hollywood culture and what it produces. As for Sean Connery's performance, his accent was neither American or Irish-American (I can't remember if he was a 1st or 2nd generation American in the movie). It reminds me of Jack Nicholson in The Departed. I saw Jack Nicholson playing Frank Costello and chewing up the screen. That's not to say i think Jack is a crap actor because he's been brilliant in other movies like "About Schmidt" and "As Good as it Gets".
