Ive watched it seen then quite a bit. Always recommend the bluray as its always more personal. Listening to the soundtrack as we speak to get me in the mood to respond to these postings. To me this film was very personal as I went through almost an identical thing to the point that it felt I was reading my own book. So it helped me cope with it. It was surprising to see so many good actors in it that I admire and playing to the best of their abilities. But how does it mirror it? All he had was love for her while she is just broken spiritually. She longs for him but he didnt. He loved her but she destroyed him for it. I thought it was pretty obvious from the very beginning it was about her and no need for the end to show that in light. The book was dedicated to her and from the very beginning he is the main character. He's wife A Red head, just like Amy, looks just like Amy could be considered a twin. The daughter is symbolic for the baby that was on the way. The tragedy that happened was how he felt it happened to him. His life ripped apart from him and his loved ones killed in the process by his preceived weakness. A good example of this was when the girl flips off the looters. It could mean the baby was in the way and signaling Amy to get off her mistress but because of this they felt they had to get rid of her to coexist which they did. I never thought he was dead inside. But that he had a strong resentment and wanted revenge and this was his revenge. Im not sure he was resisting since I dont think he had any more attraction towards her. I think the dinner was the nail in the coffin. I think it has to do with several things. He's so slick and able to out manuever Ray so much that it must get to him. He is also bullet proof in the sense that even though he hates so much he cant kill him because it is his father. So no matter how much he tries to abuse him he cant kill him off like any other character and if he ever actually did he'd be much lower than Mick. So its impossible for him. Theres also that believe it or not Ray puts him in a pedestal. He hates so much but thats because he loves him so much. Whatever actions Mick takes its disappointing because he obviously has the potential to be so much more but he fails to do so. Thus creating a huge resentment for Ray including that it is his Father after all. It keeps Ray on check on what not to do to fail as father learning from his Father. The resentment deeply seeded makes him hate him so much but there IS some love hidden deep inside there somewhere. Though very disappointed. it was bs. The way I saw it was that it was feminisim. She was showing she can screw like a guy and not take consequences. She could screw a guy she found attractive but not submit to him or get involved with him like a guy would. Showing she could find him attracted but pretend he was nothing. Also another thing like when women are prisoners but in this case it was the other way around. I have to add. I had to look away. I also didnt like that scene and hate multiple parties rape or not. But going by the storyline. Astrid sort of had it coming. She didnt want to have sex with him though he clearly rejected the offer and signaled his main goal was with her. She came back to him. Didnt out right reject his actions. Resisted yes but went with it. All of this in betraying the King who never ever acted ungentle towards her. He never forced her ironically, or manipulated her to be his queen. He treated her with nothing but respect. Except for her capture but even that was probably better as she was just slave dike. Swamping with her son. King Harold Had the most respect and admiration for her. Offering the best position in the world and that he could offer. All the while being as gentle and romantic as he could. He gaved her tons of expensive dresses and jewelry( the same she gave to the sailors). She even punched him one night after she willingly kissed him. After all of this this is how she repays him. Then having the total power to take revenge on her rapers. She stays mum and tells Harold she is pregnant with his baby. Then she commits suicide. Not the greatest of characters. I am sure Harold loved her so much he wouldve had everyone murdered had he known and probably accepted her even if found of her betrayal. A Great King. dont know what your talking about. The movie's great! hahahahhahahaa. I think he is just one big fat living pile of shit. she probably had a ghostwriter. Never really watched the show and mostly hated it and never liked Kelsey. But saw few instances and could see some charm in him. But after seeing boss to which im a huge fan and him older. I could see it more believable. He isnt ugly by any stretch and though I agree with most of the things said. Sadly most women are attracted to an older powerful white and serious man. I dont agree with it by any stretch but it is reality and Kelsey in Frasier had all those other things said going for him. Believable or not many top notch actresses and models would sleep with any good for a career notch, a nice dinner, status, fame, has a nice apartment, house, car, is considered by others to be popular. Dont totally agree with but it works that way. Now you mentioned Charlie Harper. I had to look it up. I hate charlie sheen and never liked any of his stupid boneheaded shows. He's ugly and a lot uglier than Kelsey but in real life he does get a lot of women. Top notch women that even went with him knowing he had aids. Even when he had several others at the same time. No I dont know watch the show nor like its type but he is one of highest paid in the buisness and has so many followings. Someone has to watch it and in real life I know guys like Charlie that get plenty of hot girls after him and I just shake my head. I dont agree with it but its just the way it is. naw. To me they dont like alike and should let this great film be. Besides all the good actors, stories, and directing. This film will never be the same without Jean Reno. Thats true, that he does deliver really good lines. Im actually surprised by this. Though I always liked oldman in this I never thought most people did. He's character is ruthless and really evil despites his crack sense of humor. I always admired Oldman for this role and thought this was good acting and at his best. Ive seen him in many films throughout his career and have to come to despise as a bad actor. To me this is his only good role and the only one I like him in. First of all, your friend must be hot cause Jimmy Wood has taste. Two, Actors are entitled almost obligated to have a huge ego to be successful. It must come with the territory. To be clear I dont know much about his politics. I glanced at it and did see nuttiness but I dont understand the purpose. Is it humor? Or a ploy for attention? From my understanding he used to be a heavy demo so he mustve switched for a reason. I dont doubt his talents or intelligences. He must have a logical reason behind it( not easily understandable by the common). yea well not frasers character. dont know what your referring to. James Woods is extremely talented. watched most of it by now. Havent seen much of season one but gotta say very impressive. A lot of fun episodes with a lot of cool celebrities but most importantly it does have a few epic episodes ranking in the greatest episodes of TV. The fame and accolades are well deserved. Donald has put this on the map. The writing is impressive. I gotta say I like it. Though sometimes I'd want it to be an hour show but most of the time like its short format. It just needs to be more episodes per season if the short episodes are going to be kept. Michigan is fucked in so many ways. Wait for the coupon specials or go to the ghettos. They tend to be cheaper then in other areas. He was found and had only ditched her. I'd like to blow her out. yea obviously( actually i think younger I think Aaliayh was younger). But the song is sooo jamming and courageous if you take that out of your mind. 40 is old. Especially in comparison with how tremendously hot she was and how fat, ugly, and used up she's become.
