Your review is 100% accurate. I think my IQ lowered after watching it which is worrying because I've already watched Independence Day Resurgence (same director *cough*). Entertaining rubbish and could have been a good film if handled better.
I was a teenager and loved goofy crap. You're entitled to your opinion. It's good to have differing opinions. I enjoyed it and still do. Happy Christmas.

The surname on his uniform changes throughout the film. Sometimes it's O'Neil, then it's O'Niel. Great film but a bit dated now with the model work and Lo-Tech.
Well I'm 51 and just watched it after having never seen it before. Enjoyed it as well. I lost count of the references to other similar films. I've got to admit tho I thought the 'Queen' was going to be Harry Knowles from Ain't It Cool News. I used to visit that site every day but the less said about Harry the better these days.

Daniel Craig does a great Foghorn-Leghorn impersonation. Watched it with my wife and didn't really enjoy it much.
