>economic gains, congrats. look at a chart. its a steady arch upwards from when Obama took over from Bush. WRONG. Particularly when you look at wage growth. Wages are steadily rising (and it is a statistically significant difference) for the first time since the Clinton administration. That is a direct result of policies that dissuade companies from offshoring jobs or importing cheap labor. These same policies have helped push the unemployment rate to the lowest its been in the modern era. > yes ISIS was extremely active while Obama was president and near the end were massively crippled by the Russians, Kurds and Syrians. so ya ISIS couldn't project power and do these attacks. why are you associating this with trump in anyway? thank the Kurds, Russians and Syrians. I don't believe Obama even wanted to cripple ISIS. That's why he played that little game of arming "moderate" rebels that ended up handing over their weapons to ISIS (that's why in every video you saw, ISIS had American weapons). And it is why ISIS was a force until Trump decided to do something about it (see MOABs and killing Baghdadi above). Yes, the Kurds helped, but they don't operate without sayso from us - that came from the top - Trump. >Lol man this is "peak republican" thought here. easily dismantled nonsense I'm not a Republican and you didn't dismantle shit. This invariably has something to do with it. Also, in Islam, women are taught to obey their husbands and the Quran condones the use of physical violence by the husband against a wife. In fact, it is a common occurrence. Sura 4:34 is the relevant verse of the Quran Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand. So, if Patricia spoke up against Yaser, he likely would beat her into submission. I don't have enough information on him to gauge. At a minimum, I would like to see him do a long form interview on some complex issues. After seeing that, I would assess his vocabulary, his ability to articulate, and his ability to understand complex issues to arrive at a rough estimate of what I think his IQ is. However, we do have that type of information on his supposed father (Charles) and he is at best in the average IQ range (90-110). Charles doesn't impress me at all. The same is probably true of Harry. If he were a bona-fide genius, we would have seen glimpses or heard stories of it by now. At best, he is in the average range. Watched it for the first time in 2020. Haven't watched any of the sequels. Always wondered if I was missing out on a cultural touchstone, but after watching the movie...i didn't miss out on anything. Without resorting to the inaccurate and intellectually weak arguments of "he is a racist", or "he is a russian puppet", why do you feel that way? Under Trump, we have record low unemployment *and* wages are rising again for the first time in forever. Before he took office, ISIS was committing terrorist acts in the West at an unprecedented rate (e.g. the Brussels bombing; Copenhagen shootings; Thalys train attacks; Nov 2015 Paris attack; 2015 San Bernadino Attack; 2016 Brussels bombing; Pulse Nightclub shooting; 2016 Bastille Day attack; Ohio State attack; 2016 Berlin Attack; more). In 2019 and so far in 2020 there were ZERO ATTACKS ON WESTERN TARGETS BY ISIS. Why? Let's see - Trump actually let the military attack ISIS (https://www.businessinsider.com/us-moab-mother-of-all-bombs-isis-afghanistan-2017-4 ) and for good measure, took out their leader ( https://www.cbsnews.com/news/abu-bakr-al-baghdadi-isis-leader-dead-killed-in-us-raid-in-syria-2019-10-27/ ). So, he is making us all richer and safer. So tell me, why you want him out of office so badly? What has he done that makes him a hero? His ideas aren't new. Just repackaging an ideology that has repeatedly failed. The DNC stabbed him in the back in 2016, and what did he do? He got down on his knee and kissed their ring. Is that what heroes do? Don't be shocked when they do it again this year and Bernie again kisses the ring like the good little lap dog he is. He wasn't next in line (or even close), so the rules were a little more lax for him. I think what turned the British off was the attitude and actions. Some little things (i.e. just seizing some guy's twitter handle without even asking) to more serious offenses (e.g. standing up the queen/not meeting royal obligations). Not much was asked of Markle and she couldn't live up to the very low expectations set for her. As for Harry, who knows what is going on with that guy. At any rate, they will be out of the spotlight soon, and perhaps that will benefit their state of mind. In these types of movies, there is a hero and a villain. as it is told from the POV of British soldiers, the natural enemy will be the Germans. A movie theater isn't the place for an exercise in moral relativism. Unless they had enough juice to squash the actual investigation, it would have been determined things like caliber, direction of shot and even distance from a ballistics investigation and autopsy. It would have become glaringly obvious that Wahlberg couldn't be the shooter. However, they did stop the experienced coroner in Dallas from autopsying JFK and instead flew his body back to Bethesda so "their people", who were very inexperienced, could do the autopsy....so... Is this what you mean? http://thefappeningnew.com/jennifer-lawrence-nude-photos-leaked/ I liked it as well. Not the greatest movie ever, but better than most that I have seen recently. I agree. Interesting and original story with some solid acting. If the movie was done well, it would have cleared 2 billion. They will probably make more SW movies down the road as they will still probably turn a profit but since the iconic characters have been killed off and none of the new ones resonate with the general public, I think the cultural phenomenon of Star Wars has finally come to an end. It isn't a measure of tickets sold, but how much a movie made, and it makes comparisons across time more apples to apples. However, while adjusting for inflation helps with the comparison, it doesn't take into account the rapid growth in the U.S. and world population. Now there are more people that go to movies than 30-40 years ago and that affects box office totals. The mission to Mars is planned to be one-way https://www.theguardian.com/science/2015/feb/09/mars-one-mission-a-one-way-trip-to-the-red-planet-in-2024 I think in real-life it may have been Ben Affleck as he is rumored to have been present at a few games I don't have an issue with casting any one race in particular, but when they are making a conscious effort to shoehorn in every race, gender, and sexual orientation for the sake of diversity, it is difficult to look past it. They definitely took diversity into account when casting for this movie as among the primary cast, white, black, asian, and latino was covered. Alo, this movie was true to Woke Doctrine in that all the villains were white males (Mark strong and the school bullies). Even though this was all very noticeable to me, I was still able to enjoy the movie to some degree. >Dunkirk was a terrible movie That is a factually inaccurate statement. By any objective measure (e.g. box office, screenplay, direction, cinematography), Dunkirk was a success. Because you don't like it doesn't make it a bad movie. Portland Police are a bunch of jackasses
