It has been so long, I barely remember the movie. Despite ridicule from some of my snobby friends, I like Nick Cage as an actor. Could you tell me what aspect of the movie resonated with you? Seriously, I want to know. I noticed that as well. Good horror movies don't over-rely on jump scares. That was a very hard to swallow character turn. She went from scared little girl in the beginning to a big-boobed Jason Bourne by the end. Disagree. Half the movie was a close-up of her face while she was trying to look scared, or flat out terrified. Most of the time it looked like she was acting scared, but not really scared. Very different from say, Shelly Duvall in "The Shining" when Jack was breaking through the door. She didn't look like she was acting terrified, she looked genuinely terrified. Without her famous boobs, no one would know who she was. "For an indie horror film it isn't that bad." I beg to differ. I thought it was horrible. Now, "Blair Witch" was an indie horror film done right. You are going to be disappointed. Only time you really see her boobs is when she has a pregger body suit on. Something along the lines of girls can't be boys, and boys can't be girls. She is a teenage girl that was playing a teenage girl. Anyone who has ever spent a significant amount of time with teenage girls knows they can be annoying, so the portrayal was realistic in that sense. yeah, decent movie. It is a tearjerker. Heard my wife crying during it. I second this motion. Yep. Watched this movie because Connor McGregor was in it. Great fighter, but a terrible actor. His character seemed more like a caricature than a human. The "romance" between Dalton and the woman was clunky and just unbelievable. The only mildly interesting character besides Dalton was the pacifistic "thug", that really just wanted to ride motorcycles. Appearance is a secondary factor. I put my work in for good health and potential longevity. I don't really try and keep up with fashion however. I wear what I wear. I thought it was Depp that decided to not come back to the franchise. Shame, the film probably would have made bank as he did. As for the reboot, I am not optimistic. Perhaps the most boring heavyweight champ to watch fight, ever. Stay at arms length. Opponent gets close, clinch. Rinse, repeat. Why? He is one of the 500 richest people in the world https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-25/donald-trump-6-4-billion-net-worth-makes-him-one-of-world-s-richest-people?embedded-checkout=true Being a capitalist isn't grifting Anyone with at least a room temperature IQ can tell that these lawsuits are political lawfare that makes a mockery of the justice system. It is Banana Republic bullshit, and the leftists don't even seem to realize it is backfiring on them, as normal people don't want to live in a banana republic with kangaroo courts. This is evidenced by the fact Trump INCREASED his lead in the polls after all these sham trials. According to RealClear, he is not only leading overall, but in EVERY SINGLE SWING STATE, and I don't think dementia joe is going to make up ground in the debates. We did. He was in so many iconic movies and did so many guest spots on popular television shows, He was one of the great and enduring character actors of the last Golden Age of cinema. Everyone recognizes him, despite him not starring in anything. Hollywood has changed, and I don't think there will ever be another like him. I thought the movie was quite good. Its not. As of late February 2024, it has made 338 million on a budget of 100 million. I don't think they spent much on marketing either, because it came and went without me even realizing it. So, it wasn't a blockbuster, but it did turn a little profit. Read the book when I was young and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope the series lives up to the book.
