Anyone else find it odd... Tried to read the book a couple years ago. Best movie poster ever. Can I get a little politically incorrect here? Wow this actually looks really good View all posts >

This film is getting surprisingly tepid reviews. I thought it looked like it was going to be great from the trailer, but I no one likes it at all so far. I really loved this film in so many ways. I have told everyone that I know that likes horror films not to miss it. I will not say a word about it, but tell them two things. Watch the trailer and make sure you watch the credits. Why watch the trailer? Because (Spoiler alert and since this is a thread for people who have seen the film) , when have you ever seen such a purposely misleading trailer in your life? Brilliant. I should probably delete this post, since the original poster is long gone. I do wonder if they were sued by the makers of Bodyguard or something though. I liked it better when it was called "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". They just modernized it a bit, added some music, made Hermoine a waitress and Voldemort a modern criminal and taught Harry to drive. Why can't they get some original ideas? Early reviews are in and it looks like my perception was spot on. Good news. I think that is an unfair conclusion exatera. I don't consider myself enlightened just empathetic and pragmatic. Two people want to have gay sex by all means have it. I really wish they won't do it in my living room though. And if the story with the Jinn dude goes somewhere interesting I may have to eat my words. If every couple hours in the show he is having three minute gay sex scenes I may stop investing my time in Fuller's vision of the Novel. Again this is a product and it is meant to make money. It is not smart at all from a financial perspective either, if you ask me anyway. Nor me at a certain level but seeing a guys ass getting rammed by a cock for two or three minutes straight is pretty gross especially when one really does not expect it. Look here is problem number 2. Gay sex will not sell tickets. Had Gyllenhall rammed his cock in Ledger's ass for 3 minutes not many heterosexual men would have paid the price of a ticket for Brokeback Mountain . As it was probably 75% of straight males stayed away. So there is a line in the sand that I believe Fuller crossed here. If I had known what I was buying into for my one hour invested in Episode 3, I probably would have skipped it and moved on. My Manliness is offended. I must go get a Manzillian now. It is the only thing that can heal me. And that could have been achieved in a much shorter sequence. Like the female succubus or whatever she is sequences. I agree. The incredibly realistic interpretation of how life is as a lifeguard on the West Coast and the incredible stress of having to sit in the tower and stare at young nubile women for sometimes up to 40 hours a week is now being depicted as a COMEDY! This is blasphemous! Have you ever had to give mouth to mouth to a young girl that has to work as a stripper at night while she tries to get her big break in acting and her huge breasts are getting in the way of trying to resusictate her or however you spell that? Well I have, on a daily basis and let me tell you it is not fun. OK to be honest. I have not. And it probably would be a ton of fun. I was lying. View all replies >
