The whole reason he came up for the boy to be king and taking his place was kinda lame. He put a kid with no royal blood in position. Maybe out of respect for his bodyguard/friend? Makes sense. I made it 1hr 45m. But you're okay with it being the other way around? I watched the 84' Dune, and then watched these. I must say, I don't see the interest. I don't need sci-fi action to enjoy sci-fi. Just a good story is all I ask, but this story is just boring. At least with these new versions I did enjoy the visuals. I just don't see how the books were so good that someone thought they'd make a great movie. A story they clearly thought was so good that someone decided to do it again. Who said anything about obesity. No. YOU didn't want to see one. But Schumer does not come to mind for me. A bit skinny? She's entirely too skinny. I was shocked to hear it was nominated for Best Picture. So I watched it for that reason. Now, I'm even more shocked. Absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, I was like, "Huh?" That move would make more sense. To give someone like Madam Web a movie is just incredible. Actually, I'm a major Trekkie. I made a post on that board about how bad the first season was. It was so bad that I didn't watch the 2nd season. Skipped right to the 3rd one. But you're right. They're bad. Why the other women? Because they wanted to use commoners as sacrifices instead of their actual bloodline. There was an episode of Star Trek where an alien said they couldn't really tell the difference between humans because we all look alike. Just because we know the difference doesn't mean a dragon (or even an alien) would. Maybe we all do look alike to it. A hive of bees all look alike to me, but I bet they would wonder why we can't tell them apart. And plus, the dragon is going off scent, and those girls aren't around long enough for the dragon to do a visual study in those dark caves. I doubt any of them stood around and looked that dragon in the eye. She probably roasted most of them while they were on the run with their backs turned anyway. Thank you for the well-constructed, intelligent post. It's amazing that you come here discussing people's skin color. Nothing constructive or negative about the actual movie, but to complain about something that wasn't even in the movie. Sounds like you got your head hit too hard on 1/6. I did not know this tidbit of info. Cruise is a dick. Yes. It was a good show. Well-written. I was surprised I liked it because I don't care for young kids/adult stuff. But these character were interesting. I didn't care for the episode at all. Had this been a show that was longer in time and seasons, their development would've been relevant. This show is too short to care about the background of the elders. Stick to the kids. Thanks for that info. Movies/shows are NEVER as good as the book. It's almost impossible to make that happen.
