Hollywood always changes things - they do the same with true stories, too, even when taking the original story would have made it better - it's quite surreal, isn't it? Makes me wonder about the nature of hollywood. given how the 2nd film ends.... it definitely looks like a 3rd film is in the pipeline - and maybe 4th? I saw both - not bad, tbh. I still think the Lynch version was better, even if stuff was cut - the actors, the inner voices, the imagery were better - but this one is actually not bad at all, especially when you take into consideration the dei/sge BS that has taken over hollywood. hmm... you should check out the new juliet then like someone else said, it's out on torrent sites - image is dvd-quality but the sound is maybe 80-90% decent - Nope - the quality is decent - the sound isn't 100%, but the image is perfect. I can see where they cut certain scenes out - like, where Paul goes into desert and.... err... never comes back - instead, the film jumps to another scene altogether, where Paul is doing something else. Again, it looks like they cut out around 15 minutes or more, in 2 or 3 places. Still not difficult to fill in the blanks, but weird none the less. Looks like the studio or director chickened out of making the film last full 3 hours. Z gen morons. I know, right? - they are not even trans. And where is diversity and inclusivity, anyways? So lame. @@ The final minute doesn't do much for the film, but it also doesn't take away anything from the film either. The way I see it, every hollywood film has so many plot holes that they should end them all the same way just to remind the audience that it's just another stupid fictional story. So.... it's a good thing he's not an infant? true - no need for big pay off either Alas - hollywood script writers, even before wokism became a thing, those kind of script flaws were pretty common. I do wonder why.... yep - surprisingly it didn't go 100% woke in that regard, but that GI-Jane moment still ruined it for me same due to that GI-Jane moment which really stank Replace that with her using her wit to overpower the dragon from the very beginning and I'd give the film 4/5 You can't have that in hollywood these days though - it's weird, because they'd still get the SGE money, but it looks like the script writers didn't have enough intelligence to come up with anything of that sort - or is there another reason? lolol Hmmm - I'm more concerned with the bit where the chick nearly killed the dragon, where everyone else, including every warrior failed (and no, I'm not talking about the fire trick - it's her nearly taking out the dragon with knife and swords prior to that that smelled of the 'woke female-empowerment)). Now, you could say it's been done before in Alien/aliens - but there she used weapons, not knives, so no need for physical strength - Ok, that too was BS - lol Anyways - I liked the film up to that JI-Jane moment. If she used her mind to trick the dragon from the get go, without nearly killing the dragon with swords, I would have been down with the whole thing and would have given this film a high score - great acting, sets, creature, dialogue, etc, but as it is... nope, another female being stronger and more skillful in martial arts BS (a princess at that, lol). Hollywood... I can only hope the disney castle burns down soon the same way the castle did in this film, since I see that as the main representation of Hollywood these days. End of rant. You know what that means - they'll have to offset the losses with plenty of sge/dei money. lol only a matter of time until JB comes out of the closet to get those votes What a lazy arse music video - are they going for gif length videos now? What happened to the budget? lol A lot of filler material - characters not great - no chemistry - crappy writing - The last one was bearable - but this one, I had to skip through big parts of it. giving it 3/10 - skip And as for nostalgia - the last one was for that, while this one is nostalgia overstaying its welcome, combined with crappy writing/characters/etc. I think they are doing the same to ghostbusters as what George Lucas did for Star wars when he started featuring kids as the leads - change target audience, and please nobody at all. Huge fail.
